Oscar P wuchs in Williamsburg, Brooklyn und Manhattans Washington Heights auf. Durch die Verschmelzung von Afro-Latino- und Deep-House-Einflüssen aus NYC, Chicago und Detroit hat Oscar einen einzigartigen Sound geschaffen, der seinen heutigen Stil definiert.

Oscar P betreibt zwei der angesehensten Underground-House-Labels: Kolour Recordings und Open Bar Music. Als Produzent trat er bei Labels wie Strictly Rhythm, Tool Room, Ultra und Sony Music auf und sein Lebenslauf umfasst Remixe für Mark Farina, KiNK, Soul Minority, Jamiroquai, Adele, Omar, Todd Terry und Physics.
